We crossed the Thousand Islands Bridge from Canada and entered into upstate New York. We made a stop in the town of Chittenango, NY where the author of The Wizard of Oz series, L. Frank Baum, was born.
The All Things Oz Museum had all types of historical artifacts and memorabilia related to Baum's stories.
Besides the famous 1939 movie with Judy Garland there are items from The Wiz, Wicked, the Muppet version and first editions of Baum's books. Welcome to the Emerald City!
We're enjoying our stay in the Finger Lakes area. Here is a picture of one of the Finger Lakes -- Cayuga Lake near Trumansburg, NY.
There are lots of wineries in this area, each with a different vibe.
At one winery we had a Wine & Pickle Pairing! 🍷+🥒
That was quite a treat!
There are several waterfalls as well. We visited this one which has easy access to an overlook:

We'll be in New York state for awhile to check out some of the sights we missed on our previous visits. Next stop won't require much "splaining to do". 😉
