We're having a blast in Jamestown, NY! The National Comedy Center is filled with interactive and immersive experiences to tailor the visitor's experience. We created a profile when we entered using a wristband and when we participated in viewings and interactive exhibits we tapped our wristband. As we went through the museum we were presented with our favorite comedians and comedy shows and films. You can spend a whole day here!
The National Comedy Center was created based on a vision Lucille Ball had for her hometown. She wanted Jamestown, NY to be a destination for the celebration of the art of comedy.
We also went to the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum which focuses on the lives of this "First Couple of Comedy". It includes many artifacts and costumes from their shows as well as home movies and re-creations of the studio sets from the I Love Lucy show.

I Love Lucy FUN FACTS:
In episode #45, "Sales Resistance," Ricky Ricardo sings "There's a Brand New Baby at our House," a tune that Desi Arnaz wrote to celebrate the real-life birth of his daughter, Lucie.
Episode #50, "Lucy Is Enceinte," uses the French word for "expecting" to appease televislon censors who did not allow the word "pregnant" to be used on the air.
