Potpourri of pics!

We saw so many wonderful places on our recent trip to England, France and Italy! I hope that you've enjoyed our exploration with us through my blog. Currently we are back in Texas, getting ready for our roadtrip to Eastern Canada. In the meantime, I thought I would share a few of the photos we took that we thought cute, funny or unusual to us!

One of our Airbnb hosts had this really cute tray with cats. What a fun decorative piece!

While grocery shopping in England at the end of April, we saw this display in the grocery store. Better get that bottle of Pimm’s to have a "right Royal party"!

At the Louvre, in the center of the Pyramid, is this unusual lift! We saw some women get on, and we watched while the center cylinder rose upward to the next level. A ramp connected so that the women could walk out onto the top of the staircase. Wow! Pretty cool!

What is with Paris and Teddy Bears? We saw this Teddy Bear bar near our apartment in the Latin Quarter.

Also, there were many storefronts that had large Teddy's in them.

I especially liked this one in the window of a Rare Book store! He's wearing spectacles and has a pin saying "I ❤️ rare books".

We visited Rouen during the The Medieval and Joan of Arc Festivals. Here are a couple of characters we saw:

And there were Teddy Bears in Rouen, too! Look at all these bears on the outside of this restaurant!

Italy has some interesting sites besides the Roman ruins. How about this colorful Swiss guard at the Vatican!

During a grocery run in Rome we saw these eggs for sale. I think these are the smallest cartons of eggs I've ever seen! Not like our Texas-size 18-egg cartons!

Our first outing for Italian food was similar to these pictures I found in a local Roman restaurant!

Check back in about a week to see where we land first after getting out of Texas! 🧳
