Pennsylvania – OOPS! Forgot another Favorite!
Although Fall is coming to an end, we were still able to enjoy a bit of it at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square. This place is amazing, with beautifully landscaped gardens and fountains! We want to visit again in the spring when there is even more to see. What we did get to experience was the Chrysanthemum Festival!

Another not-to-be-missed plantation is Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Jefferson was a strong believer in education and his home is a testament to that. He purposefully showcased his objects and works of art as conversation starters so that he could present his own thoughts and ideas.
We had a warm and hearty lunch at the historic 18th
century Michie’s Tavern. We’re still
enjoying the fall foliage as we move further south. We learned that we are more than “leaf
peepers”, we are “leaf-chasers”!
What better place to chase Fall than in the Smokey Mountains!
We continue our musical journey in Bristol, Virginia (also in Tennessee) by visiting the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. This museum focuses on the Bristol Sessions in 1927 and 1928 where some of the very first country music stars were recorded.
Coming next – Christmas at the Biltmore!
