North Texas: The Colony

We have moved which is why I haven't posted recently. As much as we enjoyed full-time travel, we decided that we needed a home base to focus on the planning. I expressed to a friend that I didn’t know what I would post about since we are not traveling. She said that she felt sure that I would come up with a quirky museum or something fun. Thanks for your vote of confidence Pat!

We found a great hidden gem that's fun and free! Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum is housed in the "Truck Yard". This divebar plus huge outdoor space oozes booze, food and live music!

About the Museum: It displays over 1400 toilet seats turned into art. Barney Smith recycled objects he gathered throughout his life to create these works of art. I've included a few of my favorites.

The Museum opens at 4:00. So after checking it out you can enjoy a drink, play some cornhole, check out the goodies at the food trucks and have a fun evening. Be sure to visit the restrooms for some funny potty humor! 🤣😂
