Knoxville was home of the 1982 World’s Fair. The theme of the fair was “Energy Turns Our World”. The Sunsphere still stands as a reminder of the last successful World’s Fair held in America.
The Knoxville Museum of Art is a hidden gem. Admission and parking are FREE!

This museum has a small Thorne Rooms collection. These miniature dioramas are some of the earliest works created by renowned miniaturist Narcissa Niblack Thorne.
