Grounds for Sculpture

Seward Johnson, grandson of Robert Wood Johnson I (co-founder of Johnson & Johnson), is well known for his painted bronze sculptures. In 1984 he envisioned a public sculpture garden featuring both recognized and emerging artists.

The garden, Grounds for Sculpture, is in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. We visited this hidden gem today, so I thought I would share a few of my favorites with you.

There are a number of Seward Johnson's works that were inspired by well-known nineteenth-century paintings.
