Dallas, Texas:

We have started our BIG Adventure, leaving Houston on August 8th, 2018 and heading north!  Texas is so BIG that it takes time just to get out of our state.  We headed to Cowtown (Ft. Worth) to visit family and on to Dallas.  We found a real gem of a museum in Dallas, The Museum of Geometric and MADI Art!  This is a small museum, inside a building shared by a law office, that is filled with wonderful pieces by original artists of the movement as well as contemporary artists who have adopted the MADI style and concept.

Dallas has much to offer, and one day is never enough to see it all.  However, if you visit in the fall, there are 2 places that are a must.  The State Fair of Texas is a fun treat for the whole family!  It’s a must to get your picture with BIG TEX, eat weird fried-food concoctions, ride the Texas Star Ferris Wheel and stay for the parade and fireworks show!

Although it’s beautiful year-round,  you’ll definitely “fall” for the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden pumpkin patch!
