Canyonlands: Arizona, Utah, Nevada

CANYONLANDS – Arizona, Utah, Nevada
Sometimes we think it’s better to take a packaged tour, as in the case of our May 2018 trip to some of our national parks.  Not only did my husband get to sit back, relax and leave the driving to a pro, but we were able to stay at lodges within the national parks.  It's not easy to book these lodges as individuals because several of the tour companies have ongoing, permanent reservations.  Caravan Tours, the tour company we used, does just that, i.e. books rooms for every night in these parks.  Our tour was very well organized and the guide and driver offered many wonderful suggestions that helped us make the most of the trip.  The tour guide kept telling us that each stop would be better than the previous – I was skeptical as what could be better than the Grand Canyon?  Since each place was unique, each stop truly was the best!

FOOD FAV – Navajo Frybread!  Stop at the dining room at Goulding’s Lodge at Monument Valley for a great meal – get the “Mini Navajo Taco” – it’s filling and delicious!  But save room to eat more fry bread with honey – yum, yum!

After all of this natural beauty, we ended our trip in one of the most man-made, fabricated cities – Las Vegas!

Here we are with all of our winnings!
