Adickes Sculptures

Houstonians may be familiar with the David Adickes sculpture "A Tribute to American Statesmanship" at the interchange of Interstates 10 and 45, or even the huge sculpture of Sam Houston near Huntsville. 
 
Not long ago, I came across another sculpture, near Angleton, Texas, of Stephen F. Austin.

 
If you have ever visited Adickes' studio, you would have seen several presidential heads.  This is one of my favorites:

 
Another favorite are these sculptures the Beatles!

Adickes has moved his studio, but we found it and yet another quirky sculpture--Charlie Chaplin! What fun it is to explore Houston and find these little gems.
